The power of buds
today I would like to bring you a little closer to the knowledge of the healing power of buds (gemmotherapy).
Trees and shrubs symbolize the eternal cycle of death and resurrection. In its buds, every tree carries the power to let fresh life sprout again after an inhospitable cold season. And it is precisely this power that is used in gemmotherapy.
In ancient cultures and mythologies, trees represented deities, or gods appeared in the tree and nourished people.
- In the Bible, the apple is plucked from the tree of knowledge and Adam and Eve gain sight as a result.
- In the Nordic cultures of Europe, many trees were considered sacred, the Germanic people worshipped the LINDE.
- For the Celts, the OAK was the most sacred tree for the Scandinavians, the world ESCHE Yggdrasil was the center and origin of the world.
- Meetings were held under trees or groves and judgments were made. One hoped for the divine inspiration.
In the Middle Ages, Hildegard von Bingen already gave many hints about the healing power of trees and shrubs. Much of this knowledge can still be found today in books on herbal medicine.
Then in the 19th century began research into the individual ingredients of various trees and shrubs.
The Belgian physician Dr. Pol Henry founded bud medicine around 1950.
Buds, which contain the entire genetic information of a plant, are highly valued in naturopathy. The ingredients have active genes, a high cell division rate and an abundance of proteins, secondary plant substances, minerals and vitamins.

The power of the bud
Each bud is in itself a miniature representation of the entire plant, it contains the complete genetic information of the tree or plant, i.e. the information on all tissues such as stem, branch, leaf, flower, fruit. Thus, it is undifferentiated before breaking open and the complete genome is still active.
Due to this fact, it is only understandable that naturopathy has found interest in the use of these plant stem cells in the form of buds.
In addition to the active genes, immense division activity and a fairly high percentage of proteins, they also contain many secondary ingredients, minerals and vitamins.
Up here in the mountains of the Tramuntana, even before spring really begins, it's time to harvest some buds. The hawthorn bush is the first, followed by fig, mountain pine and then the buds of the wild olive tree.
To get all the healing power of the plant from the bud, we macerate the finely chopped buds in equal parts of organic alcohol, organic vegetable glycerin and spring water.
The glycerine we use is made from linseed. Glycerin belongs chemically to the group of alcohols, but reacts much more gently and does not destroy the proteins of the buds, which are extremely important for the gemmo-medicines and should not be denatured in any case.
In addition, glycerin dissolves the fat-soluble substances from the buds and has a pleasant sweet taste.

Easy to use - always at the ready
Gemmomazerate can be used individually, but also several at the same time.
3 times a day 2 sprays into the throat, where all the active power of the bud is absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth and is not destroyed by gastric acid.basis our elixirs are produced, in addition, have an anti-inflammatory and antibiotic effect. They have a balancing effect on the mucosal flora and thus support the start of the day.
