VITEX hydrolate

VITEX Hydrolate is the "cool down" for body and mind.
While the tincture works from the inside, the plant water acts as a gentle regulator from the outside. Monk's pepper (Vitex agnus-castus) is not only known for its internal rhythms, but also for its clarifying power on the skin. This hydrolate is the ideal companion for phases when the body feels "heated" – whether due to summer temperatures, hot flashes during menopause, or emotional tension before your period. The scent is special: herbaceous, earthy, spicy—a scent that immediately grounds and creates clarity.

The plant: Monk's pepper grows wild and in cultivated gardens on Fartàritx. To produce the hydrolate, we distill the shoot tips, leaves, and seeds when the plant is in full sap.

Production: The hydrolate is produced by gentle steam distillation in our copper still. We do not extract any essential oil – this means that the entire spectrum of water-soluble plant substances and a fine trace of the valuable essential oil remain in the water.

Your ritual for clarity:

For the skin (facial toner): Spray onto the face in the morning and evening after cleansing. It has an astringent (tightening) effect and helps to refine the complexion—especially in the second half of the cycle when the skin is prone to blemishes.

SOS in hot weather: Keep a bottle handy (preferably from the refrigerator!). When experiencing hot flashes, spray generously on the décolleté, neck, and wrists. The evaporative cooling combined with the power of plants brings immediate relief.

For your aura: If you feel irritable or unfocused, spray once over your head and inhale deeply. The tart scent will bring you back to the moment.

Storage & shelf life As this is a pure natural product without artificial preservatives, proper storage is essential:

Please store in a cool, dark place (ideally in the refrigerator).

Use quickly after opening (within approx. 3–4 months).

Note on the scent: Monk's pepper naturally has a distinctive, herbaceous, tart smell. This is not a sign of spoilage, but a quality feature indicating a high active ingredient content.
